The musings of one of God’s smallest creatures on events in and around the Parish over the past seven days . . . .
Fr D had a busy week during which he was on a panel of interviewers for the new Tribunal Administrator down in the St Philip Howard Centre in Crawley. The previous week the panel had whittled 14 applicants down to six, 1 dropped out having found a new position, leaving five to the interview stage. By the end of the day he was pleased that they were able to offer the post to a very impressive candidate.
This weekend, whilst Fr D is in Lourdes with an adult group of special needs people, we are holding our ‘Overseas Missions’ Appeal. This year it is the turn of the Comboni Missionaries to enlighten us about their work in mission territories:
Living among the poor . . .
A missionary parish to reach out to those still far away . . . .
Brother Alberto Parise - an architect turned brother . . . .
To bring the ‘Table of brotherhood’ into prisons . . .
